Beautiful set, November 13, 2006

I have had Corelle as my “everyday” dinnerware for the 32 years I have been married. Styles change, and I have updated a couple of times. This is the prettiest pattern yet, I feel. It’s lightweight, so you don’t have to lift heavy plates out of the dishwasher. Corelle is wonderful, it’ microwaveable, and never fades. I wanted the luncheon plates, but they were about $3.50 each (which is still inexpensive!), but bought the exact same tan base color ones that are plain for about $2 at the outlet store. (All the “Mills” outlets have them). The luncheon size is great for snacks and small meals, so it’s really a great thing to have in addition to the standard set. We definately use them the most. Walmart has a good selection of Corelle, if you don’t want to wait for delivery. I have reached the age where I like comfort and convenience more than having the latest thing from the upscale stores like Pottery Barn. A lot of people turn their noses up at Corelle, but it’s pretty and practical!! I give it 5 stars.

Wonderful set!, April 7, 2006

This is very lovely set! Especially the bowls!! They come with a nice delicate row of leaves design outside the bowls which you normally don’t found in other corelle sets. Also the plates are not shallow as compared to other sets. I am still looking for matching platter and large serving bowl!! Unforunately Amazon doesn’t carry them!! Also try the bake-serve set available on amazon which matches this one. You can’t get same set elsewhere easily.

It was a pleasure to deal with Amazon. The products were delivered as promised. When I had a problem the service was excellent. Of course I had seen the product in a store, but was unable to get all the pieces I needed. I love the pattern. Thanks for your great supply of the product.

Excellent, January 19, 2007

Very happy with the the dinnerware. The only local store sales the product is Kmart, but they do not have it in stock. A little pricy, but worth the money, especially if you have young children in the house. I bought four 16-piece sets. One came broken during the shipment. UPS returned it for me. Amazon replaced it right away. However, there was a mis-communication with the return shipment for credit with Amazon. The plates are light, thin, and unbreakable (watch out the the mugs. they are not made by same material - they are breakable). The pattern is wonderful. It definately does not look cheap as the originall corning dinnerware patterns. The dinner plates are just the right size for our dishwasher! all my other dinner plates are too big. I was also able to reclaim more than half of my cabinet space after the china replacement. We also gave away all the kid’s plastic dinnerware. How great is that!!!

Corelle - Ideal for 5th Wheels, May 16, 2007

We purchased 2 sets to be used in our 5th wheel trailer for travel. The weight and thickness of the dishes is ideal for limited storage. The Testured Leaves pattern is also inspirational for our lifestyle now that we are retired and moving on to new adventures. My parents had corelle in their travel trailer 30 years ago and I remember how perfect they were for this environment. My kids have them for active young family. Nearly indestructable. Love them and highly recommend them.

Broken Dreams, February 15, 2006

Do not even bother ordering this item. Amazon has no idea how to pack dishes for shipping. Two shipments arrived as perfect undamaged boxes full of broken dishes. I did not even bother to open them.

Buyer Beware, January 26, 2006

While Corelle’s new dishware designs are fabulous, beware the reality of Corelle dish breakage AND this company’s poor customer service response. I have young children and pets in our home; thus I thought Corelle would be a wise choice because of their supposed anti-chip/anti-crack reputation. In fact on three separate instances of Corelle bowls being dropped on the kitchen floor, they bounced then shattered into very, very sharp shards with razor-like edges–much sharper than broken stoneware and china I’ve seen. Perhaps most disappointing is that my e-mail communication with Corelle’s customer service has been completely ignored. I’ve written twice, verified their receipt of my correspondence–and thus far, they’ve not responded. Seriously think twice about owning Corelle–it’s not a product I’d recommend around children, or household pets.
